Laling Fort
Laling Fort, also known as Laling Killa, is a historic fort situated on top of Laling Hill, about 9.65 kilometers south of Dhule city in Maharashtra. The fort has considerable antiquity and is believed to have been built during the reign of Malik Raja Faruqui. It was one of the important forts in the Khandesh region during the time of the Faruqi Kings.
The fort played a significant role in the region's history, including being the site where Nasir Khan and his son Miran Adil Khan were besieged in 1437 by the Bahamani general until they were relieved by an army from Gujarat. Over time, the fort has fallen into a ruined state, but it still offers panoramic views of Dhule city and the surrounding area.
