Martello Tower in Pakur, Jharkhand, is a historical structure built by the British colonialists in 1856 to fend off the Santhal rebellion. This small defensive fort, known as a Martello tower, features an upright concrete tower-like architecture with a glass roof.
Inside, there is room for armed personnel to stand and fire at the Santhal rebels. The tower is located in a park dedicated to the heroes of the uprising, adjacent to the law courts on the road leading west to Litipara.
