Padmadurg Fort, also known as Kasa Fort, is a 17th-century sea fort located on an island in the Arabiean. Built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj around 1676, this fort was strategically constructed to challenge the dominance of Janjira Fort, controlled by the Siddis.
The fort is located approximately 4 km north of Janjira Fort and forms an important part of the coastal defense system established by Shivaji Maharaj. Padmadurg, with its rugged terrain, houses six bastions, and features remnants of cannons and fort walls, which illustrates the architectural expertise of the era.
