Salabat Khan Tomb Or Chandbibi's Mahel
The Salabat Khan Tomb, also known as Chand Bibi's Mahal, is a historic monument located on a hilltop about 13 kilometers from Ahmednagar city. The tomb is a three-storey stone structure that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. It was built for Salabat Khan II, a minister of the Nizam Shahi dynasty, and is an excellent example of Nizam Shahi architecture.
The tomb is often mistakenly referred to as Chand Bibi's Mahal, although Chand Bibi herself is buried elsewhere. The structure features an octagonal platform, elegant pointed arches, and a continuous gallery around the interior.
It's a peaceful spot with historical significance and beautiful views.
