The park is also a popular spot for morning joggers, walkers, and community gatherings. Historically, it has been an important venue for political rallies and social movements, notably the Samyukta Maharashtra Movement that led to the formation of the state of Maharashtra. Besides sports, the park features a Ganesh temple, a children’s playground, and a gymnasium.
