Sita Gufa
Sita Gufa, also known as Sita Gumpha, is a small yet significant cave located in the Panchavati area of Nashik, Maharashtra. It is believed to be the place where Sita worshipped Lord Shiva during her exile with Lord Rama and Lakshmana. The cave contains idols of Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana, as well as an ancient Shivlinga.
The entrance to the cave is quite narrow, requiring visitors to bend down to enter. Inside, the cave is divided into two small chambers, with the idols in the first chamber and the Shivlinga in the second. The cave is surrounded by five ancient banyan trees, which are said to have been planted by Sita herself.
