The St. Thomas' Cathedral in Mumbai, also known as the Cathedral of St. Thomas the Apostle, is one of the oldest and most distinguished landmarks in the city. Located in the historic center of Mumbai at Horniman Circle, near Flora Fountain and Bombay House, the cathedral was consecrated in 1718 and is the first Anglican church in Mumbai.
It was built to serve the British settlement in the fortified island city.
The cathedral is known for its Neo-Classical and Neo-Gothic architecture, featuring a white façade with beautiful embellishments. Inside, you'll find painted glass windows, brass antiques, plaster of Paris shapes, and memorials dedicated to British parishioners.
The church is also associated with the Cathedral and John Connon School, which was established to provide choristers for the church.
