Tarkash Mahal
Tarkash Mahal is a historical monument located within the Bidar Fort in Bidar, Karnataka. Built during the 14th and 15th centuries, it was originally constructed for the Turkish wife of a Bahmani sultan. The upper parts of the palace were completed during the Baridi rule, showcasing the decorative work of that era. The palace features a hall with arched openings, beautifully decorated with tiles and stucco work. Although the roof of the hall has fallen, the remains of the upper floor can still be seen.
The palace also includes smaller rooms that were once adorned with beautiful tiles. The Tarkash Mahal is an important part of Bidar's architectural and historical heritage, reflecting the grandeur of the Bahmani and Baridi dynasties.
